Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Springhill Medical Center's Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a medically supervised, rehabilitative plan designed for persons with heart and/or lung disease. The program helps patients reach their highest performance level of exercise and activity while developing self-management skills. Our comprehensive approach combines patient education, exercise, emotional and social support.
Program Features
- Registered nurses, respiratory therapists, exercise physiologists and physicians certified in advanced cardiac life support.
- Bikes, treadmills, stairclimbers and miscellaneous upper body and weight equipment designed for medical fitness and rehabilitation programs.
- State-of-the-art monitoring equipment for heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation levels and heart rhythm
Goals
Restoring participants to an active and enjoyable lifestyle is the major goal of the cardiac/pulmonary program. Also, the program seeks to reduce the risk of future cardiac or pulmonary problems and complications.
