Our Outpatient Heart Failure Clinic is designed to help patients reach their highest potential by individualizing their treatment plans in a convenient outpatient setting. Heart failure means that the heart is not pumping as well as it should. The heart may be weakened over time by conditions such as coronary artery disease, defects in the muscle walls, problems with the heart valves or other medical conditions.
Symptoms of heart failure may include shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness and swelling of the ankles, feet, hands or abdomen. Everyday activities may become very difficult.
Heart failure is treated by
- treating the underlying cause
- medications, including diuretics

Outpatient Heart Failure Services emphasizes individualized treatments to meet patient needs, including education and management of medications and symptoms.
