Meet the Doctors
Dr. Michael Ledet is Board Certified in Family Practice and has also helped patients in the area with Sleep Disorders for more than 20 years. He has a strong interest in insomnia that affects at least 30% of our population. “In my years of practicing medicine, I have found a correlation between vascular disease and sleep disorders. Patients at high risk for cardiovascular disease also tend to suffer from some type of sleep disorder, both usually being tied to obesity,” says Dr. Ledet.
Dr. Ledet became Board Certified in Lipidology in 2007 which is an expertise in cholesterol management. He wanted to better serve his patients in the prevention of stroke and heart disease. High risk patients requiring multi-drug therapy need to reach their “good and bad” cholesterol goals to reduce their significant risk of new or recurrent vascular disease.”
Patients desiring to improve their cholesterol profiles and waist size without medications should following his “triple Es”….. Eat properly, Exercise regularly, and have Excuses rarely!
Dr. Ledet has spent the last 10 years of his practice lecturing around the Southeast, educating physicians and other healthcare providers on the latest information regarding sleep disorders and cholesterol management. He is accepting new patients with cholesterol and sleep disorders. Appointments for evaluation can be made at Springhill Medical Center Eastern Shore Clinic on Spanish Fort Boulevard (445-1850).
