The New Endoscopy Center at Springhill

October 19, 2012

The Endoscopy Center at Springhill opened in August as an expansion to Building 3 on the hospital's campus. It is a first in this region.
The ECS is located on the 3rd floor of the new 9,000-square-foot edition of Building 3 next to the offices of Internal Medicine Center. The second floor of the expansion is home to physician offices, and the first floor has a four-exam walk-in clinic where patients are seen quickly for any routine ailments.
Endoscopy procedures performed at this new outpatient freestanding setting include screenings for cancer and digestive diseases. The five gastroenterologists who practice at The ECS are Dr. Elliot Borak, Dr. Cody Barnett, Dr. Susan Fleet, Dr. Mike Sanders, and Dr. Jon Siegel.
The facility utilizes four procedure rooms and new state-of-the-art equipment, including the latest innovation in scope reprocessing from Johnson and Johnson, the Evotech. The Evotech endoscope reprocessor takes endoscopy reprocessing to the next level through a number of innovative features. The ECS has adopted the most advanced technology in endoscope reprocessing to ensure safe, fast, consistent superior cleaning.
The ECS houses 15 bays that are utilized for pre- and post-procedure patient care. Many of these contain panoramic window views for a more dynamic patient experience.
Private changing rooms are available for every patient where they can put on their spa-like sandals and robes. The ECS has made an effort to provide patients with the best experience possible in a less institutional-style atmosphere.
The computers are equipped with award winning “ProVation” software which replaces dictation and transcription, allowing physicians to efficiently document procedures at the point of care. Built specifically for hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, our software solutions produce complete, coding-ready and image-enhanced documentation that result in greater efficiency and clinician satisfaction.
