Springhill Medical Center Honors 2013 Employee of the Year

     Springhill Medical Center honored Willie Kennedy as Employee of the Year for 2013.
     Mr. Kennedy is a dedicated Care Tech in the hospital’s ICU and began his career here in 1995.
     As Employee of the Year, Mr. Kennedy was recognized as someone who best embodies Springhill’s mission:

     To be the best health care provider in Mobile, where patients and physicians can rely on our outstanding staff to efficiently provide health care that is unmatched in quality, convenience, and benefit of use in a courteous and family-oriented manner.

     “Willie works tirelessly in the ICU and comes in to work extra hours on the weekends whenever we need him,” said Meg Alston, Nurse Manager of ICU. “He doesn’t know the word ‘no’ and always works with an excellent attitude.  Families love him, and his fellow employees do, as well.”

     Mr. Kennedy is a Mobile resident and is married with two sons.
     As winner of the Employee of the Year Award, Mr. Kennedy received a framed certificate, a paid day off, a cash prize, a parking space of his choice for a year, an Employee-of-the-Year shirt, and other gifts.
     This year’s other honored nominees were Millie Lott, Infection Control; Lana Davis, Patient Care Services; Gwen Wade, Respiratory Therapy; Ashley Estrada, Unit 1100; and Shanda Jordan, Unit 3400.
