Irish-Carter-2019_w.jpgCited for her every-day PRICELESS employee values, Irish Carter was recognized as Springhill Medical Center’s Employee of the Year during hospital week.

During Hospital Week in May, Springhill presented Ms. Carter with various prizes, including a preferred employee parking spot and a plaque for this annual award.  Ms. Carter has been a valued part of the Springhill family for 18 years, most recently working in the Admitting Department.

“I enjoy being a Patient Access Rep at Springhill because I have the opportunity daily to help people. It may just be a friendly smile, helping someone sign in, or directing them to the proper area, but I enjoy the social interactions with them all,” she said.

Each year employees are asked to nominate a co-worker who they feel best demonstrates the PRICELESS values that Springhill promotes.

“Irish is one of the best!” said Amy Sprinkle, Director of Patient Access. “She is always helping our patients, families and her co-workers. Irish doesn’t have a job at Springhill, she has calling. She makes a difference in every life she comes in contact with. We are so blessed to have her.”

Ms. Carter’s personal philosophy is “to do the best job I can with a smile on my face,” emphasizing the “S” in PRICELESS for Smile. “I like working here because I am treated with dignity and respect.”
In addition to Ms. Carter, this year’s Employee of the Year nominees were: Melissa Ellis, Tim Parker, and Shirley Wells.
