With scuba divers hitting the open waters more and more in 2021, Julio Garcia, RN, WCC, ACHRN, FAPWCA, Springhill Medical Center’s Director of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, has been out educating instructors, students, shop owners, first responders, etc. about Dive Safety and the limited resource of emergency-based hyperbaric chambers for the treatment of dive accidents. His latest stop last week was at the University of West Florida.
