Best Nursing Homes, Newsweek, 2026

To support families as they consider their options, Newsweek partnered with respected global data research firm Statista to create its annual ranking of America's Best Nursing Homes.  Springhill Rehabilitation and Senior Residence has landed in the 12th spot for two consecutive years, AND is the only skilled nursing facility in our area listed by Newsweek!!

“It is not surprising that Springhill Rehabilitation & Senior Residence is ranked 12th again for America’s Best Nursing because of our outstanding staff,” said Administrator Lana Davis.  “Our staff works hard and relentlessly to provide the best care possible.  They are an amazing team who put our residents first in every facet of what they do.”

These lists recognize 1,050 nursing homes across the 25 states with the highest number of facilities, according to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services data. The top nursing homes in each state were assessed and ranked based on four pillars: performance data, recommendations of medical professionals, accreditations, and resident satisfaction.

The skilled nursing facility ranked 12th in Alabama in the 150+ beds category and, again, was the only Mobile/Baldwin facility to make the list. Springhill Rehabilitation and Senior Residence is a 151-bed, skilled nursing facility located on the Springhill Medical Center campus in Mobile.  The Residence has been part of the Springhill corporate family for decades and provides quality short-term rehabilitation care and long-term skilled nursing care, while fostering a homelike social environment.
