From diagnosis to surgery and rehabilitation, the Orthopaedic Center at Springhill Medical Center is the latest concept in convenience for orthopaedic care.

A joint venture of the physicians of Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic, P.C., and Springhill Medical Center, this 78,000-square-foot complex consolidates total orthopaedic care in one facility and eliminates the need for patients to travel to multiple locations for services such as doctor's visits, X-rays and outpatient surgery.

The Orthopaedic Center at Springhill is conveniently located on the beltline highway, between Dauphin Street and Airport Boulevard. For an appointment with one of the physicians of Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic, call (251) 410-3600.

Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology

Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology provides you with a personalized surgical plan based on your unique anatomy. First, a CT scan of the diseased hip or knee joint is taken. This CT scan is uploaded into the Mako System software, where a 3D model of your hip or knee will be created. Learn more about Mako knee replacements and Mako hip replacements.

ConforMIS

While there are other technologies available, such as robotic assistance, these advancements still use the conventional off-the-shelf knee implants, thus still having the potential for anatomic mismatches. ConforMIS total knee and partial knee replacements, on the other hand, are patient specific, thus produce a comfortable fit and allow more natural movement.

Pre-Surgical Orthopaedic Patients

Pre-surgical orthopaedic patients can learn more about preparing for surgery and what to expect during their stay at Springhill Medical Center in our Pre Surgical Training Video.

Educational Classes

Our JAM (Joints and More) class is held every Wednesday in the front lobby of the hospital at 3:15 p.m. It is an educational class for those about to have orthopedic surgery. We review what to expect after surgery. The class runs for approximately 45 minutes. A hospital representative will contact each patient before their surgery to schedule their class.
