Do I need a physician's referral for therapy?
Yes. The State of Alabama requires that all patients have a referral for physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Do I have a choice where I go for therapy?
Yes. You have the right to request the clinic of your choice. However, you should make sure that the clinic will accept your insurance provider.
Will my insurance cover my therapy services?
We accept most major insurance carriers. Prior to your first visit at Springhill Rehabilitation, we will verify the terms of your coverage. Your insurance plan will dictate the number of visits you may receive. On your first visit we will notify you of your insurance benefits.
How do I schedule an appointment?
If you have your physician referral, you can request an appointment HERE and a member of our staff will contact you to schedule your appointment. You may also call our office at 251.340.0688. If you do not have a referral, please call our office and we can refer you to a doctor appropriate for your condition.
What do I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Please keep in mind that we have reserved a time slot for you, so we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we may offer that spot to another patient. You can call our office at 251.340.0688 if there is a conflict with your schedule and your therapy appointment.
How long will it take to schedule a visit?
Once we have your referral, we strive to have your pre-registration through our billing department completed within 36 hours. You will then be able to schedule your first appointment. After your initial visit we will work with your schedule to best accommodate you.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Our new patient forms can be found HERE and filled out prior to arrival to save time. You will also need your insurance card, driver’s license, and a list of all medications you are taking. We recommend that you bring your medication with you.
What should I expect for my first visit?
Your initial visit will be an evaluation that will last about an hour. Your therapist will evaluate your condition to formulate a treatment plan specific to your needs.
What methods of payment are accepted?
Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Workman’s compensation, HMO, Self pay.
Payment Options
Most major insurances accepted, as well as Medicare, Medicaid, Visa, MasterCard, personal checks and/or cash. All insurance claims are filed as a courtesy, however, ultimate financial responsibility lies with the patient.
